Known in the industry as one of the world’s best talent evaluators, Pete Philo was revolutionary in his fundamental ideas and beliefs in the international “pre-draft” style Eurocamp for nine consecutive years. In those nine years he helped over 82 players enhance their global reputation in front of NBA scouts and General Managers, which enabled them to be selected in the NBA draft.
Pete was not only instrumental in the establishment of a global “pre-draft” camp, but has also served as a “trained eye” and scout for three different NBA franchises for the previous fourteen seasons (Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks). Pete was Director of Scouting for Team China from 2010-2012 including the London Olympics, General Manager of Team Scandinavia in the 2003 Global Games, Dallas, Texas and has traveled to over 70 different countries scouting and evaluating basketball talent. In addition, Pete most recently was the Director of International Scouting for the Indiana Pacers. Pete played collegiately at Manhattan College, the University of South Alabama and professionally from 1996-2001 in 7 different countries.
Originally from Ohio, Wend graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Sports Management.
